Player Notes: This short, but uphill par 4 features a tee shot that must avoid the bunkers on the right side of the fairway. From there, a short approach shot must be played well into the green. Any approach shot that comes up short will roll to the bottom of a deep, grass-covered bowl.

Player Notes: This par 4 is on the highest point on the course. The fairway rests along the top of a ridge. A well played tee shot to the left center of the fairway gives players the opportunity to have an easy approach hot into this large green that has deep bunkers along its right side.

Player Notes: This downhill par 5 is named for a section of the Wells Fargo stage line that traveled through the Santa Susana Mountains. The Devil’s Slide was so steep that passengers got out of the coach and walked down the hill until the coach could travel on flatter ground. On number 12, the tee shot must avoid the bunkers on the right side of the fairway. The second shot should be played to a plateau 120 yards short of the green. This will give players an approach shot into the green where they will be able to see the entire putting surface. The hill to the right, and a deep bunker to the left frame the green.

Player Notes: The fourteenth hole on the Sky Course at Lost Canyons Golf Club is a long par 5 played into a prevailing breeze. The tee shot is played from high above the wide landing area that is framed by large fairway bunkers on either side. The player’s second stroke will be played to the right center of a plateaued fairway to avoid the deep bunkers on the left. The third shot is played to a small, elevated green that is guarded by a cluster of pot bunkers that are positioned short and to the left of the green. The green is tucked into the opening of a deep canyon. A par 5 is a very good score on this challenging and beautiful hole.

Player Notes: The fifteenth hole lies at the floor of a broad canyon surrounded by steep hillsides and escarpments. The hole is named for the meandering barranca that flows directly in front of the green and along the right side of the fairway. The approach shot requires players to avoid the lateral water hazard and deep bunkers that all front this small, sloping green.

Player Notes: This par 4 is played up the center of a steep, box canyon. The green is large and multi-tiered. The approach shot plays 2 clubs longer than the yardage because of the elevation change and swirling breeze.

Player Notes: A challenging finishing hole that plays downhill. This is a great chance to really launch a drive but it needs to be accurate. The green gently slopes from front to back and the approach shot usually plays at least one club less because of the elevation change. Watch the wind closely when your on the tee.
